Full-time, Godalming, Surrey

The League Against Cruel Sports is the only charity dedicated to exposing and ending cruel sports.  We celebrate 90 years in 2014, and during that period we have evolved from a group of passionate volunteers to a professional charity dedicated to improving the lives of animals by forcing society to rethink how it uses animals for sport. Our greatest achievement to date was the passing of the Hunting Act 2004, which banned the hunting of animals with dogs for sport, and for which we were instrumental in campaigning.

But there is still much to do, and we need a game changing Head of Public Affairs to join our team to help drive our campaigns forward. You will be an experience public affairs professional, with detailed knowledge and experience of legislative processes, and an excellent relationship manager of key stakeholders.

The role spans all levels of public life, from MPs and Lords/Baronesses,  to local councillors and Police and Crime Commissioners – and more. You will manage a team of three, working across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. If you are up for the challenge please apply now, or for more information please contact info@league.org.uk

Application is by application form only, please do not submit CVs as these will not be considered. We are not accepting any agency approaches for this role. Closing Date:  Monday 15th July 12 noon. Interview Date: Thursday 25th July at the League office in Godalming, Surrey.
