The Scottish Wildlife Trust is at the forefront of wildlife conservation in Scotland with over 32,000 members, an amazing network of wildlife reserves, an impressive range of practical conservation projects and an excellent reputation in the field of environmental policy and advocacy.
We are looking for an inspiring and persuasive communicator to lead on the development and advocacy of our nature conservation policies. You will be a high profile champion for the Trust, regularly engaging at senior level with politicians and government officials to promote policies to secure better protection of Scotlands natural environment.
You will also manage the Trusts policy and planning unit and must have excellent management skills together with the ability to research and understand complex policy issues. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential to this post.
If you are enthusiastic about wildlife conservation, hold a relevant science or humanities degree and can to demonstrate proven experience of policy development and advocacy at a national level, we would be interested in hearing from you. Experience of the Scottish planning system and parliamentary and public affairs would be an advantage. A current driving licence is required.
