My client is in market leader in the international wind industry, they have developed, manufactured and produced some of the most widely used turbines in the market. As the major player in the onshore wind market my client is a wind company that can offer exciting opportunities in the wind sector and plan to match this level in the Offshore market. They have manufactured and installed a large number of the wind developments and are a strong customer focused company who aims to work at the highest level and ensure that their company name remains a recognised brand in the wind sector.

Position Overview:

My client is looking for a deal maker to play an integral role in the development of new business in the offshore US market. They require an experienced business development executive with a proven track record in negotiations and closing deals in the Asia Pacific Region Wind sector. You will report directly into the global offshore director general and play an major role in the expansions of the companies offshore wind program.

Responsibilities

• You will manage the development of initial relationships with developers, operators, manufacturers and investors of offshore wind project in order to achieve the end result of project development in the offshore wind market across Europe
• You will travel extensively across the Asia Pacific Region developing and maintaining key relationships in the offshore wind market
• You will demonstrate ability to lead negotiations team towards results that will ensure company project development across Asia Pacific Region
• Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness
• You will have full authority to represent my client in all matters relating to securing future projects in the Asia Pacific offshore wind market and leading a team of negotiators throughout the process
• Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the wind energy company and that your team is performing within the framework of the company
• Manage a pipeline across Asia Pacific Region that supports the company’s aggressive growth strategy in offshore wind projects
• Work with the Directors and Vice Presidents of the technical, legal and projects teams providing support for the negotiations process with the developers, government departments and utilities
• You will achieving targets of securing multi million ($) contracts with operators, developers and manufacturers of offshore wind projects
• You will focus on multiple projects with the ability to manage individuals who are working independently and do not require micro-management

Education

A relevant degree in either engineering or business management

Core Requirements:-

• 10-15 years experience working in the wind industry in the Asia Pacific Region
• Minimum 4-8 years experience working in a business development or commercial role in the renewable energy market
• Extensive contact list in the Asia Pacific Region wind market
• Experience in developing and maintaining customer relationships
• Experience working in the offshore wind market is a bonus
• Advanced spoken and written English and Mandarin
• Able and willing to travel throughout the Asia Pacific Region
• Exceptional negotiations skills and a strong technical mindset
• Experience in a managerial position is required
