Head of Human Resources (Maternity Cover)

Salary circa £45,000-£55,000 (FTE and depending on experience) + excellent benefits.

The Head of HR is a member of the UK senior management team and sets the people strategy for the UK taking into account the UK business plan. This role has whole accountability for the day to day operation of the HR function, projects and general HR business support.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business. This role is based in Bristol, full time or part time (4 days) and fixed term for ten months.

You will be accountable for:

• Developing and implementing the HR strategy
• Representing the UK business in the group HR structure
• Senior management team and middle manager development
• Ensuring that current practice is compliant with current employment law, case law and best practice
• UK recruitment, learning and development, HR intranet content, policy, benefits, HR projects, employment law, reporting and managers toolkits
• Managing compensation and benefits for UK co-workers, participate in salary surveys, manage the salary review and bonus process
• Employee engagement - supporting the UK Managing Director and the senior management team when taking the lead on cultural development in the UK branch.

We are looking for someone that has:

• At least two years experience in a senior business partnering role
• Worked closely with a senior management team
• Extensive experience in employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, organisational development, cultural development and change management
• A willingness to travel within Europe occasionally.
