Head of Globally Threatened Species Recovery UnitReference number: A0650514 Location: Bedfordshire We are looking for an excellent team leader and project manager who will drive forward and help to develop the RSPB's international programme to save endangered species, such as the spoonbill sandpiper. You will be responsible for coordinating a cross-disciplinary team of specialists, including scientists and country specialists, to save some of the world's most endangered bird species. You will be confident in dealing with other nationalities in culturally and politically sensitive situations. You will have a good working knowledge of international conservation issues and be able to formulate and deliver an agreed work programme. You will understand the importance of, and be experienced in team work and network building.You will also have proven budget management experience and exerience in fundraising issues. You should be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
