FOUR PAWS, is an international animal welfare organisation with Headquarters in Vienna, Austria, and has offices in more than 10 other countries. Founded by Heli Dungler in 1988, the organisation strives for improvements in animal welfare through sustainable campaigns and projects. FOUR PAWS focuses on animals that are directly under human influence, for example stray dogs and stray cats, farm animals, wild animals and companion animals kept in inappropriate housing. FOUR PAWS aims to help animals in need directly and quickly.
We are searching for a positive thinking personality with great affinity to animal welfare as soon as possible:
HEAD OF FUNDRAISING (m/f)
Fulltime / Zurich
Main duties:
- Leading and developing the national fundraising team
- Developing the Swiss fundraising portfolio
- Creating annual budgets, long-range goals and projections for all fundraising campaigns and initiatives
- Controlling all fundraising activities and reporting to the Country Director, the International Fundraising Director und the National Board
- Working closely with the Board, the International Director of Fundraising and the international fundraising team to continuously research, cultivate, and solicit new sources of revenue
- Participating in inter-department working groups to develop animal welfare related projects and campaigns
Requirements:
- Degree in marketing, business administration, communication or related fields, further education in fundraising is an advantage
- At least five years experience in the field of fundraising, preferably in international NGO's
- Demonstrable track record of strategic fundraising
- Experience in budget planning for a medium sized organisation with several income streams
- Experienced budget planner/maker and excel user
- Proven ability to build, manage and develop key stakeholder, client and donor relationships
- Knowledge of Swiss NGO market and audiences
- Excellent communication skills in German and English (written and oral), good French knowledge would be an asset
- Skills to lead and motivate a team
- Ability to work independently, results-oriented and innovative
- Social competence combined with competitive intelligence
- Highly motivated, open-minded and balanced-driven personality
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise work based on business requirements
- Willingness to travel and to work in a fast-paced environment
- Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS issues and values
