FOUR PAWS, is an international animal welfare organisation with Headquarters in Vienna, Austria, and has offices in more than 10 other countries. Founded by Heli Dungler in 1988, the organisation strives for improvements in animal welfare through sustainable campaigns and projects. FOUR PAWS focuses on animals that are directly under human influence, for example stray dogs and stray cats, farm animals, wild animals and companion animals kept in inappropriate housing.
FOUR PAWS aims to help animals in need directly and quickly. We are searching for an experienced fundraiser who understands the international trends of fundraising, researches new fundraising opportunities and coordinates strategic developments of FOUR PAWS fundraising.
Head of Fundraising (m/f)
Fulltime / Zürich
Main duties:
- Lead and develop the national fundraising team
- Develop the Swiss fundraising portfolio further
- Create annual budgets and long-range goals and projections for all fundraising campaigns and initiatives
- Control all fundraising activities and report to the International Fundraising Director und the National Board
- Work closely with the Board, the International Director of Fundraising and the international fundraising team to continuously research, cultivate, and solicit new sources of revenue.
- Participating in inter-department working groups to develop animal welfare related projects and campaigns
Requirements:
- Degree in fundraising and/or relevant professional qualification
- At least five years experience in the field of fundraising, preferably in International NGO's
- Skills to lead and motivate a team
- Experience in budget planning for a medium sized organization with several income streams
- Ability to work independently, results-oriented and innovative
- Social competence combined with competitive intelligence
- Excellent communication skills in German and English (written and oral). Good French knowledge would be an asset
- Highly motivated, open-minded and balanced-driven personality
- Willingness to travel and to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on business requirements
- Knowledge of Swiss NGO market and audiences
- Experienced excel user
- Experienced budget planner/maker
- Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS issues and values
