The National Forest is one of the country’s most highly respected forestry and sustainable development projects. It is embarking on its next decade with forest cover at nearly 20%, trebled from the outset, a strong management programme and a developing woodland economy.  It enjoys exceptional national and local support.

We now have an opportunity for a multi-skilled forestry professional with rounded experience to take the forestry lead in this unique project. You will have the opportunity to continue to drive forest creation, deliver a collaborative woodland management programme across hundreds of sites and push forward the woodland economy.

You will be excited by working in a multidisciplinary team, pioneering the role of forestry in regeneration, from tourism and farm diversification to wildlife and community wellbeing. You will be an excellent team leader and innovator, able to develop and deliver large-scale funded programmes.

Educated to degree standard, with a forestry qualification at graduate or post-graduate level, you will be equally at home inspiring your colleagues, meeting landowners, managing programmes, exploring commercial opportunities and representing the National Forest Company in the national forestry policy environment.
