We are recruiting for a Head of Farming to represent farming interests internally and externally on behalf of the Soil Association. This role will champion the voice of the farming community, ensuring that its views are represented and our work is of relevance.
S/he will be required to influence policy makers to support best practice in organic and sustainable farming, and with a sound technical knowledge of farming practices s/he will lead the provision and development of an accessible and high quality technical support service.
This role will work closely with the Soil Association’s elected Farmer and Grower Board to develop and manage effective relations with their respective communities.
Internally s/he will be expected to play a strategic role as a member of our Senior Management Team.
