My client is a leading wind power plant developer, providing clean energy to utilities and large energy users. They build, develop, finance and operate large scale power plants and have a strong market presence globally.
With subsidiaries in the US, Europe and Southeast Asia are continuously looking to grow and maintain their position as a market leader. They are now looking to recruit a Head of EPC in France.
Position Overview:
The Head of EPC will manage existing projects in the construction phase. The Construction Manager will lead a construction team and will plan, direct, and coordinate construction of wind projects.
Responsibilities:-
Coordinate with Project Development to forecast project requirements
Support Project Development with site selection and approval
Support Project Development with early stage engineering support
Develop cost estimates as well as cost estimates for specific projects
Develop detailed designs for construction
Develop detailed construction timelines
Negotiating with landholders, councils, utilities, suppliers, project developers and other involved parties on construction issues
Management of supplier and subcontractor selection
Management and tracking of project budgets
Education:-
Strong educational background, undergraduate degree in engineering (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering or construction management).
Core Requirements:-
Minimum 2 years experience wind experience
At least 4 years of related work experience in construction management
Project and time management skills
Deep experience in wind construction and project management
Understanding of wind project engineering and construction
Understanding of cost estimating and budgeting for wind projects
General Requirements:-
Ability to travel frequently to client sites
Good oral and written communications skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies
Key Skills:-
Wind, wind project engineering and construction, experience with EPC and O&M contracts, undergraduate degree in engineering (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering or construction management) field and background in construction is desired.
