Our client is a leading facilities management and engineering company.  They are currently urgently looking to recruit a Head of Energy and Environment; this is a regional role which would suit applications from candidates in the Birmingham, Gloucestershire & Oxfordshire regions.     The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of energy and environmental services to a large portfolio of buildings.  They will also be expected to complete the following key tasks:

  • Provide leadership and direction for the energy division.
  • Establish an environment and energy management (E&EM) system and develop energy and environmental strategies across the business.
  • Provide guidance and expertise on advances in E&EM technology (ie. bore holes, CHP, geothermal etc) and guidance on the latest government advice and legislation.
  • Carry out business development including generating marketing and publicity materials.
  • Provide input, advice and costs for PPP/PFI projects.
  • Manage profit and loss to meet budgeted targets.
  • Liaise with and support CSR function.

 Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant electrical/mechanical or environmental degree with a buildings energy focus.
  • Experience of working at senior management level.
  • Experience of developing energy and environmental strategies across a number of business units and sites.
  • Energy procurement and controlling budgets.
  • Excellent business development, report writing and project management experience.

 The successful candidate will be expected to travel across the UK and Ireland therefore a full UK driving licence is required.  In return you can expect a competitive salary in the region of £45-55k plus car/car allowance (£6.9k) and excellent benefits.
