Greenpeace Nordic employs 130+ staff, all dedicated to meeting the professional standards expected of the world's leading campaigning organization for the environment. From our offices in Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki we work on globally important campaigns with a national and regional context. We are financially supported by more than 150 thousand people across the region. To remain independent we have a policy of not accepting funding from companies and governments and therefore only accept donations from individuals and private foundations.

Reporting to the Programme Director, the Head of Digital's key responsibility is to refine and further develop our strategies for building  our online leverage in Nordic to help us win campaigns together with more people. You will lead a team of highly skilled professionals, professional, edgy and creative, who are used work in and to lead global, regional and national projects. We have an ambitious strategy to deepen the engagement with our supporters and create new contact points for engagement and we are looking for a person that is keen to take on this challenge and is also interested in supporting the team in their development and quest to stay in the lead. The position can be based in any of our 4 offices.

 

We are looking for a candidate with

  • Strong communications skills.
  • Extensive and proven experience in engaging and/or marketing communication
  • Proven experience with new media technology, digital channels and IT, including hands on experience in updating and developing websites and using social media for campaign/marketing purposes.
  • Strong leadership and management qualities  
  • Fluency in English (one Nordic language preferable)
