Greenpeace Nordic with offices in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki and Oslo, has identified the need to massively grow its online presence and to work more effectively in this area in order to engage with our supporters, win campaigns and raise funds. This position is key to increasing Greenpeace Nordic’s new media profile and to substantially increase number of individuals engaged via new media activities.

This position will develop, implement and lead Greenpeace Nordic’s new media work. We are therefore looking for an experienced individual to work with and coordinate the web team and the online fundraisers located in our four offices to ensure that members of the public and our supporters receive our campaign and fundraising messages and are engaged in our campaigns via our websites, viral online messaging, online actions (petitions, letter writing etc) and other methods of online mass mobilisation. You will also work with the volunteer unit to synchronise online and offline mobilisation work.
If you are the right person for this position you have:
- University degree in marketing, communications or similar
- At least five years experience in supporter or marketing communication, with a particular focus on engagement through new media.
- Experience in managing marketing campaigns which take advantage of online social networking.
- Strong leadership qualities. Ability to inspire team spirit and resolve conflicts.
- Strong management qualities. Ability to support and guide staff and volunteers, manage multiple projects, work to a timeline, work with sensitive information, work with minimal supervision, deal with stressful situations and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of new media technology.
- Experience with Web Content Management Systems.
- Hands on experience in updating and developing websites desirable.
- Fluent English. Knowledge of a Nordic language preferable.

This is a full-time permanent position with 6 months probation based in Stockholm.
