HEAD OF COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING & EVENTS

Salary: c£50,000 per annum plus benefits
Based: Nr Horsham, West Sussex

Founded in 1824, the RSPCA is the largest animal welfare charity in England and Wales, employing over 1,500 people and comprising 170 branches. Its mission is to prevent cruelty, promote kindness and alleviate suffering of all animals, nationally and internationally. The Society funds it annual running costs, currently in excess of £100 million, almost exclusively by voluntary donations and legacies.
 

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead and develop a new pillar of income for the National Society and dramatically increase the opportunities for the regions and branches to impact positively on their own funding support and activity.

To succeed you will have:
• A substantial track record of setting, managing and analysing multi-discipline income and expenditure budgets.
• A sound knowledge and understanding of community fundraising programmes.
• Proven experience of working in a senior events management capacity.
• Excellent negotiating and influencing skills at all levels.
• Demonstrable experience in managing and motivating a team of people to achieve its goals.
• A business related diploma/degree (IOF/CIM) or events management diploma/degree.
