TNC Europe is now seeking a mission-oriented individual to join us as Head of Climate Policy, Europe who will develop and implement strategies to achieve TNC’s goals for tackling climate change. Reporting to the Europe Director Global Policy and Institutional Partnerships, the Head of Climate Policy Europe is responsible for and leads the development and implementation of our TNC Europe climate policy programme that delivers on TNC’s climate mitigation and adaptation goals, working with global and regional colleagues as well as the wider TNC Europe team. This position will interact directly with governments, multilateral agencies, and other stakeholders, to develop and manage TNC’s relationships. The head will collaborate closely with the public funding teams and other topical leads to identify conservation policy and funding opportunities, where tackling climate change is a key driver.

The Head of Climate Policy, Europe is equipped with project management skills and advanced knowledge of European public policymaking processes and stakeholder networks, especially related to climate change topics, and proven experience in strategy development and implementation.  In this role, TNC Europe is seeking a dynamic individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills who brings direct experience working with partners and government agencies on climate change issues, along side experience with negotiating complex high profile or sensitive agreements. The ideal candidate is an excellent team player with experience working in multi-disciplinary and multicultural groups and has experience in developing constructive and effective working relationships inside and outside the Conservancy.  Most importantly, the Head of Climate Policy, Europe will demonstrate a genuine alignment with the values of TNC and seek to apply their skills towards achieving its crucial mission.
