The Head of Biodiversity Information Management over the next 12 months will deliver, with the team, a functional, operational and user friendly database system, website and web applications for the Key Biodiversity Area Partnership that incorporates and supports the data of the BirdLife Partnership. The post holder will manage BirdLife’s Information Management team. 
 
The ideal candidate will have 
• Robust and current knowledge of information management systems with a proven record of business analysis, project design, management and implementation.  
• A deep understanding of data (conservation data knowledge desirable), its interrelations, its relevance and value, its analysis and its presentation.
• Proven team management and project management skills 
• Proven experience in establishing an enterprise GIS system, with knowledge of ESRI suite of server based tools
• Experience in the application of cutting-edge approaches in the presentation of biodiversity information.
• Proven experience in broader system architecture relevant to building harmonised approaches institutionally to information management
• The right to work in the UK
