Job Responsibilities:
- Heading WTI's ‘Rescue & Conflict Mitigation’ discipline, which includes wildlife rehabilitation, veterinary science and conflict mitigation.
- Overseeing the professional and technical competency of staff.
- Delivering all outcomes and outputs as outlined in the project plans of all the HQ-based projects.
- Liaising with funding agencies and relevant Government departments.
- Managing budgets as per activities listed in the project plans.
- Preparing donor reports and project proposals.
Skills:
- Expertise in animal welfare, veterinary science, captive wildlife management, and conflict animal management
- Skill in organising, scheduling, planning and coordinating projects
- Skills in grant/budget management and technical reporting.
- Skills in implementing, monitoring and evaluating projects
- Ability to multi-task and to work in a team-oriented, multi-cultural environment
- Good command in both written and spoken English
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office
Qualifications:
Minimum a post-graduate degree, preferably in biological or veterinary science..
Work experience:
At least 10 years of experience, with at least three years at a senior management level. Exposure to current issues in wildlife conservation, especially on conflict animal management, wildlife emergency relief and captive wildlife welfare is desirable.
