Food & Water Watch is a leading national consumer advocacy organization that runs dynamic, cutting edge campaigns challenging the corporate control and abuse of our food and water resources. Since 2005, we have won significant victories to protect our food and water. Our work has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post and other major media outlets. We seek a 3-month contract policy analyst and advocate to represent Food & Water Watch and to lead our efforts in Hawaii to protect our ocean resources from reckless expansion of the factory fish farming industry. The policy analyst and advocate will coordinate with DC based staff and work with a diverse set of constituents in Hawaii who care about our oceans, such as recreational fishermen, commercial fisherman, divers, environmental organizations, cultural organizations and the general public. This position is based in Hawaii; specific location is flexible. Some travel will be required. There is potential for extension of this contract. Specific Responsibilities
