We presently have a vacancy for an electrician who can manage a small team of installers to join our branch in Hampshire. We are looking for a positive and motivated individual with qualifications in electrical installation and proven construction industry and supervisory experience. The job offers plenty of opportunity for the right individual to grow in the role and create a successful career for themselves in the Renewable Energy industry.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Assist in the management of projects from sale through to installation. • Ensure projects are installed safely in a timely and cost effective manner, to a high • standard. • Be the primary point of contact for the project manager. • Provide technical input into electrical design. • Provide leadership to the install team to ensure a safe and successful installation. • Ensure full Health and Safety compliance on your projects. • Ensure all electrical work undertaken by the branch is safe and complies with regulations.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience and skills in the following areas:
EXPERIENCE
Essential • At least 4 years practical experience of electrical works in commercial sites and domestic properties. • Experience of supervising a team • Experience of working under NICEIC or similar accreditation bodies
Desirable • Experience of solar electric systems • Experience working on roofs
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential • City and Guilds 2381 and 2391 or similar electrical qualifications • CSCS Card
Desirable • City and Guilds 2372 PV Training • Training in working at heights • Training in the supervision of site health and safety • Qualifications in 1st Aid
CHARACTER Essential • Proven ability to work as part of a team • Proven track record in customer care • Proactive attitude to problem solving • Good communication skills
Desirable • Self-confident • Clear headed under pressure
OTHER
Essential • Able to work a range of hours with occasional overnight stays • Full driving license • Legal right to work in UK
Desirable • Enthusiasm for renewable energies
BENEFITS AND REMUNERATION • A salary of £24,000-£28,000 depending on experience for a 45 hour week including breaks • Company vehicle • Company bonus scheme • Training opportunities • 22 days paid holiday plus bank holidays • Option on stakeholder pension
