Guesthouse Supervisor

Are you a nature lover, with a love of travel and would like to gain invaluable experience in the ecotourism sector? Would you like to contribute to vital conservation work, living sustainably on an island paradise as an intern for Lang Tengah Turtle Watch?

We are looking for a motivated, organised and enthusiastic intern with an interest in conservation, to help with the running of The Resthouse, on Pulau Perhentian from March 2017 onwards.  The property is listed on airbnb, with a large portion of payments from guests staying at the house channelled into our Turtle Conservation Project - Lang Tengah Turtle Watch - on the neighbouring island of Pulau Lang Tengah. In our first season listed on airbnb, we received a very high review score and earned a superhost status, we are very proud of this and we are keen to maintain this standard into 2017.

We are looking for someone who would be responsible for the following tasks:

• Organising incoming airbnb reservations
• Greeting our international guests
• Advising guests on the best places around the island to snorkel, have a meal etc
• Organising events and activities around the island

Part of your role would also include periodic travel to Lang Tengah, to aid with the Turtle Conservation Project, giving you an amazing opportunity to partake in this important work and enjoy the stunning island.  You will be working as part of an exciting, young, enthusiastic team of conservationists, with hopefully likeminded ideas about this vital work. 

You will need to be available from March 2017, when you will receive training on your role with Carolin, who ran The Resthouse in 2016.
