JOB SUMMARY

The Modules Group Product Manager plays a pivotal role in defining the future products for SunPower, and manages the various module models through the full product lifecycle: conception, development, deployment and end-of-life. The ideal candidate is a great Product Manager leader who has a deep customer focus, and is motivated by solving complex system-optimization challenges to optimize profitability and customer value across products, regions, and customer segments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and maintain SunPower’s Module product strategy by engaging with customers on their system requirements, examining competitive offerings, tracking industry trends, and establishing a successful product roadmap.
• Create product requirement documents (technical requirements and business cases).
• Work with engineering teams in developing make / buy recommendations and the associated vendor analyses.
• Lead cross-functional product teams by guiding product trade-off decisions and ensuring a successful, on-schedule product deployment.
• Develop and implement go-to-market plans with cross-functional teams.
• Lead messaging, product positioning, and preparation of product-specific sales training and support collateral.
• Periodically travel domestically and internationally to customer, vendor and internal company sites.
• Lead a team of product managers.
REQUIREMENTS
• BS/MS in technical field from a leading engineering program.
• Seasoned leader with proven ability to grow product management teams in a mature industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proven delivery of successful products to market.
• Ability to distill and present information in a clear and compelling way for audiences from engineers to executives to customers.
• MBA Preferred.
• Power industry experience, particularly in solar, is a plus.
