Group Manager: Fundraising and Membership

With a new organisational structure and exciting new approach to income generation, Forest & Bird are well placed to achieve their projected growth trajectory and ensure a sustainable and relevant organisation into the future.

It is self-funded through its members and supporters and therefore promotion of the organisation, its work and successes is key to its ongoing effectiveness as an organisation with a strong membership and financial base.

You will be a change agent and pivotal in providing leadership and strategic direction for the fundraising and membership group. Thus, you will shape a group culture of high performance and establish processes that will enable future effectiveness.

We are seeking someone who is innovative, performance oriented, forward focussed and a big picture thinker who has the ability to think outside the square. 

Person Profile:

•A successful track record of performance in all practical and strategic planning aspects of fundraising

•Experienced in the establishment and ongoing management of fundraising programmes and business plans

•A confident leader with the ability to drive and encourage performance and best practice

•A connector, collaborator and relationship builder

•Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities with experience in business partnership and sponsorship models

•Well developed analytical skills with experience in metric based reporting

•Skilled with CRM /fundraising databases and office software

•Tertiary qualification in marketing, fundraising or similar is highly advantageous
