Primary Responsibilities

  • To act as lead assessor and technical reviewer in the delivery of UK Climate Change Programme (CCP) activities
  • To identify and deliver sales and marketing activities in relation to current and developing CCP products

 

Specific responsibilities

  • Act as a lead assessor and technical reviewer for Greenhouse Gas (GHG) verification according to UK CCP policies and procedures.
  • Develop and follow up leads with potential new clients for CCP business.
  • Assist in the maintenance and development of procedures and documentation for UK CCP business.
  • Development of marketing materials and marketing campaigns for CCP business.
  • Development of large project proposals.
  • Undertake any other duties as identified by the UK Product Manager to ensure delivery of CCP services are according to quality procedures and/or comply with accreditation requirements.
  • The role is field based with national and potentially international travel on the agenda.

 

Skills & Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge of carbon accounting frameworks e.g. ISO 14064,PAS2050, GHG Protocol
  • Highly computer literate
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel user
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and work on many projects / tasks simultaneously

 

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in Greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) Assessment or Verification
  • Experience in working with procedurally driven management systems.
  • Sales and marketing experience
    Desirable
  • Previous experience working in a similar role

 

Qualifications

Essential

  • A level or equivalent
  • GHG Assessor qualification
    Desirable
  • Degree in Environmental Management or a related Science discipline
