Thistle Birmingham City hotel
St Chad's, Queensway
Birmingham B4 6HY

Registration closing date: 11 November 2011

A town meeting will be held on 24 November to introduce the new NERC Greenhouse Gas Emissions & Feedbacks research programme and to discuss the draft Announcement of Opportunity which is planned to be released shortly after this event.

The goal of this programme is to deliver improvements to the 'top down' methods used to estimate greenhouse gas sources and sinks, and to integrate knowledge from both 'top down' and 'bottom up' methods to deliver improved greenhouse gas inventories and predictions for the UK, and for the globe at a regional scale.

Further information on this programme can be found in the Phase 3 climate systems theme action plan.

The town meeting will take the form of a one-day interactive workshop that will address the focus of the call. The meeting will also provide an opportunity for attendees to share ideas and develop collaborations that address the research questions within the Announcement of Opportunity.

Please register to attend the workshop by completing theonline registration form by 16:00 on 11 November 2011.

As part of the registration process you will be asked to write a brief statement on your research interests. This will be circulated to all other meeting participants, if you are selected to attend.

You will be informed if you have been selected to attend the meeting by 15 November.

Further details of the workshop and agenda will be circulated to delegates prior to the meeting.

Individuals interested in submitting proposals to deliver the programme are encouraged to attend. However, attendance at the workshop is not a prerequisite for submitting a proposal to the Announcement of Opportunity for this programme.

For further information about this event and how to register please contact Amy Vitale.
