Department Marketing Statement
DNV has specialized in delivering independent, third party services for climate change activities, and has over the past decade been engaged in a number of validation, verification, and certification activities. In addition, DNV has developed methodologies to secure transparent, reliable and credible audit results. As a result of our expanding business, we are now looking for additional capacity within our climate change team in Antwerp, base for the Benelux and UK region, to cope with the increasing volume of GHG verifications, corporate GHG inventory verification and CDM / JI projects both directly and indirectly through global capacity building within our organization.
Major Duties
The position reports to the manager of the climate change team in Benelux-UK/IRE.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Carry out and manage verifications of Corporate GHG inventory (ISO 14064)
• Carry out and manage Corporate GHG inventory (ISO14064)
• Carry out and manage GHG verification under voluntary schemes
• Participate in local marketing and sales activities and support the global organization on such activities.
• Be responsible for developing new climate change services within the region.
Qualifications
• Strong technical and scientific background and at least 4 years working experience delivering environmental or operational services in energy sector (oil and gas, renewable energy, …) or in climate change sector.
• Market and customer oriented with proven networking abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and with many tasks at the same time
• Willingness to travel frequently (approx 20-30 % of the time on short assignments)
• Team oriented, fast learner, generous in sharing knowledge and experience and committed to developing further DNV’s profile and visibility within the global climate change markets.
• Excellent command of English and Dutch languages (writing and speaking)
• Candidates must be Dutch or Belgian residents. Should this not be the case, please refrain from applying;
• Preferred, but not required:
- French language
- Experience in auditing, Corporate Social Responsibility report verification, Corporate
Inventory Verification, CDM, JI and emissions trading verification
