Technical Team Manager for Green Tourism Business Scheme in the UK.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small company with a very high reputation in the field of sustainable tourism that provides a globally recognised accreditation service. We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual with relevant managerial and organisational skills to assist in the growth of the company and facilitate a network of remotely based assessors around the UK.

The role will be to manage the current Technical Team and network of 7 remote assessors which is expected to expand to 12-15 within the next three months. This will include providing technical and administrative support to ensure target number of assessments and quality standards are met. It will also include maintaining and developing internal quality and technical systems and procedures and the development of the technical content of the website, members area and e-newsletters.

This post ideally suits someone with environmental knowledge and experience of managing and motivating staff. Very good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills are essential. Experience of developing office procedures and systems would be useful. Good knowledge of MS Office is essential and knowledge of Access and Filemaker would be an advantage. Should have an interest in working with the hospitality industry and a knowledge of the sector or environmental management would be desirable. Must hold a full UK / EU driving licence.
