Green Spaces Officers

We have a full-time (37 hours per week) and a part time (18.5 hours per week) post available working in the Greenspaces Team within our newly formed Health and Well Being Team. 

You will be part of the Site Management Team managing Carlisles green spaces, delivering multiple benefits for residents, visitors and wildlife through a network of green spaces, play areas, nature reserves, allotments and off-road active travel routes.

The work will be varied and stimulating, spending a lot of time outside in Carlisles parks, nature reserves and allotments. You will take responsibility for the day to day practical delivery of actions and projects to make Carlisles green spaces safe, accessible and environmentally sustainable, and providing health and wellbeing benefits for the communities of the district. You will work with a range of stakeholders and partners, predominantly at a local level, building strong relationships to support local peoples involvement in their green spaces.
