Are you a motivated professional with a ‘can-do’ attitude?  Looking to make a difference to our environment?

About the Team & Role:

We have several job opportunities to join our dynamic and friendly team at Gloucestershire Archives, have arisen thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the external promotion of one of our senior archivists.

We are looking for an experienced or aspiring heritage and/or environmental Project Manager to deliver our GREEN Pledge lottery project (activities and minor capital development).

You’ll be joining the service at an exciting time as we develop our environmental collections and approach whilst also progressing our ambitious 10-year strategy focusing on cataloguing and digital preservation.

About You

As a Green Pledge project manager, you will line manage a team of project staff, as well as creating and leading the Heritage Hub’s Green Team. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships with the public and a wide range of stakeholders, supported by the County Archivist.

Leading on a number of interlinked smaller projects, your proven experience of budget management, and negotiation skills will ensure the project objectives are delivered on time and on budget. Your existing heritage and/or environmental experience will enable you to bring your own creative ideas to shape and deliver the overall project successfully.

This is an opportunity to make a difference and transform the service’s approach to environmental matters through the collections and work with a variety of Gloucestershire communities.

A fantastic chance to gain experience or seize a development opportunity in a highly regarded accredited archive service.  The opportunity is part-time but could be combined with other roles currently being advertised.  We very much welcome applications for more than one role.
