We are currently recruiting an Hydrologist within our Water Management Group in Leeds. The core aspect of the role is to undertake Flood Risk Assessments, and Water Resource Impact Assessments, for a wide range of projects and clients throughout the UK and elsewhere.

A degree in water resources or Hydrology would be preferable or alternatively a more general degree such as environmental sciences would be considered if there is sufficient specialisation in water studies. MSc would be preferable.

You should demonstrate an understanding of flood and low flow hydrology methods, and river hydraulic modelling. Previous experience in the use of FEH, IoH124, Rational Method (Wallingford Procedure), and 1D and 2D modelling using TUFLOW, HECRAS or ISIS would be advantageous. Confidence in numerical and mathematical ability are essential for this role. Position Description : The core aspect of the role is to undertake Flood Risk Assessments, and Water Resource Impact Assessments, for a wide range of projects and clients throughout the UK and elsewhere. The role includes working as part of interdesciplinary teams, providing input on water issues to environmental impact assessments and environmental management projects.

You will also be expected to produce accurate and timely reports and maintain close contact with clients and regulatory authorities.
