Our work portfolio includes: Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and other support for HS2, Transport for the North and Transport for London; iconic large scale property developments and urban regeneration schemes (such as Barking Riverside and Bishopsgate Goodsyard in London); and a wide range of other bespoke planning advice and environmental assessments – everything from air quality monitoring, Biodiversity Net Gain and Environmental Statement reviews, through to expert witness support and sustainability strategies and social value and community consultation work. We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and broadly skilled Graduate Consultant to work within our Environmental Assessment (EIA Infrastructure/ Property / Major Projects) team in Manchester on the management and delivery of projects, as well as helping to grow our business in this area and to further build Temple’s market presence. The Role The Graduate Consultant will report to a senior consultant colleague and work closely with all internal teams (including our EIA, Air Quality, Environmental Management & Consents teams) and a wide range of external partners to deliver across a range of projects. As well as working within and across our teams, the successful candidate will also be given opportunity to take responsibility for tasks and coordination of deliverables within projects. They must be able to demonstrate an ability to work with clients, understand their needs, and translate these into presentable solutions. Responsibilities will include environmental appraisal and assessment, report writing, coordination with a range of stakeholders, and providing general support across our service areas. The successful candidate will form part of our internal development programme, which includes access to workshops, seminars and presentations from internal colleagues and relevant industry professionals. There will also be access to generic consultancy training and support such as project management and technical report writing and development of new business. Support with membership of an appropriate professional body will also be provided. The role will provide an opportunity to work in a small dynamic company but on some of the most exciting projects in the UK, with a sense of feeling that a difference can be made to the way the company operates, even at a junior level.
