Graduate / Consultant Ornithologist

Arcus is recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate or Consultant Ornithologist to join our Ecology & Ornithology Team in Glasgow. The  successful candidate will have strong background in ornithology, and be looking to develop their skills in the renewable energy sector.

The Role:

• Carrying out/scheduling ornithology field surveys;
• Supporting senior ornithologists and other team members;
• Collecting, managing and analysing ornithology survey data, including use of GIS;
• Carrying out desk studies and reporting, including EIA Report writing; and
• Engaging with project managers, stakeholders and clients.

Skills & Experience:

• An undergraduate degree in ecology/zoology or a related field;
• Experience in carrying out/analysing bird surveys e.g. breeding bird surveys;
• An understanding of relevant species survey guidance and legislation;
• Full driving licence; and
• Collision Risk Modelling experience and / or Schedule 1 species license beneficial.
