Global Seabird Policy/Senior Policy Officer – RSPB UK Headquarters, The Lodge, Sandy, Beds – salary £25,000 to £29,000pa – full time 37.5hrs pw, fixed-term post for 3 years

The Global Seabird Programme seeks a highly motivated, numerate and articulate individual with a passion for conservation. This post will develop a work programme to reduce threats to seabirds from byatch in gillnet fisheries worldwide. The GSP works to reduce threats to global seabird populations, particularly focused on work to reduce threats to seabirds from fisheries bycatch, and inputting to marine spatial planning and Marine Protected Area initiatives.  As well as being the GSP lead on gillnet fisheries, this post will make a key contribution to GSP's work on longline and trawl bycatch and to the GSP scientific and technical framework, advocacy and communications.  

You will be education to degree level with experience in a relevant discipline, with relevant knowledge of global marine conservation issues
