My client is a global developer of solar systems, modules and inverters who also offer specialised services to PV project developers and investors.
Position Overview: The Global Sales Director will act as a key member of the global product and services sales team and will be responsible for expanding sales and business development activities throughout the world for their services and PV systems to project developers and investors. The Global Sales Director will be responsible for lead generation, customer relationship development, proposal development, contract preparation and negotiations throughout the world.
Responsibilities:-
- · Lead and direct sales team and oversee sales operation worldwide
- · Develop and manage sales operating budgets
- · Develop and implement strategic sales plans, forecasts and performance goals to achieve corporate objectives for products and services
- · Demonstrate ability to lead Sales team towards results
- · Interface between sales management, representatives, customers, and subcontractors to provide project direction and increase sales
- · Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share
- · Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements
- · Work with Product Management to provide accurate product development feedback
- · Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness
- · Oversee monthly sales forecasts and sales strategies for each region
- · Manage performance of sales management and representative organizations
- · Will be expected to proactively source new clientele and generate new revenue streams
- · Negotiation and acquisition of lease agreements and securing grid connections and building permits
- · Conduct market analysis and feasibility and risk assessment studies on a daily basis
- · Negotiating terms and closing deals
Education:-
- · Must have strong educational background (engineering, economics or business background)
Core Requirements:-
- · You will have at least 6-10 years of sales experience, with a track recording in driving sales
- · You will have at least 2-5 years renewabale energy sales experience, with a track record in selling solar products( wafer, ingots, modules and/or inveters)
- · Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
- · Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
- · Proven ability to manage and direct staff, including recruitment, selection and development to achieve company goals and objectives
- · Ability to manage multiple projects
- · Demonstrat in-depth sales and marketing techniques and financial principals
General Requirements:-
- · Ability to travel
- · Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
- · Proficient with making impactful presentations
- · Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies
