Description

The Global SunSystems Implementation Manager is part of a (small) team and is primarily responsible for the implementation of SunSystems6 / Infor10 and companion products in Greenpeace offices across the globe, and act as back up for Global Financial Systems Manager when required.

 

Main responsibilities


Financial Systems strategy Contribute to the development and realization of the Financial Systems strategy, in line with the Finance and overall GPI strategy, from own functional discipline by ensuring the implementation of SUN Account system (SUN) with a Common Chart of Accounts (CoCoA) to become a global finance system, enabling worldwide, unified financial management and information.

System Design

• SUN systems is a standardized application that will not need system design but may need adaption and additional modules to meet local requirements (see next point).
• Gather, analyze and agree on business and functional specifications from NROs in order to translate this into a detailed requirement specification (design) document.
• Develop and provide implementation plan based on design document including objectives, deliverables, timing, and training
• Participate in other projects in order to further integrate / develop/ identify/ facilitate system roll-out

Testing

• Create test plans based on specifications in design document, prepare test environment(s), execute various test activities in order to ensure use acceptance
• Perform system testing, quality control and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Implementation

• Independently install, configure and optimise SunSystems applications and solutions as per the design document and ensuring local GAAP requirements are met, and pro-actively propose and implement alternative solutions to meet the requirements of the customer.
• Closely co-operate with the other members of the Global Finance System team to ensure realization of the planned implementations, sufficient user training and support world-wide availability of the team’s expertise.
• Pro-actively identify and implement adoptions of new financial applications to increase efficiency of the financial applications/processes.
• Change management and provide alternative solutions so that changes will not interrupt services.
• Produce and maintain customer specific implementation plans/ documentation.
• Ensure ‘system implementations’ are delivered to customer’s satisfaction within agreed time and specifications
• Provide expertise for the customer organisation on the SunSystem

Functional Support


• Perform onsite support to end-users as the system will ‘go live’
• Provide timely and value adding end-user support and training, including acting as backup to solve complex technical issues and fill support gaps after implementation.
• Act as back up for Global Financial Systems Manager when required.
• Establish a service level agreement with customer organization to clarify ongoing services and deliverables from Global IT and Global Finance Systems team.

Communications & Stakeholder relationship


• Provide regular updates to the Global Financial Systems Manager (PM) and project stakeholders, throughout the development, testing and implementation phases.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels in order to manage the implementation of SunSystem and exchange and share knowledge.
• Represent Finance in presentations, meetings, training, workshops.

Risk management


• Proactively identify and assess risk and escalate to the Finance systems manager as required



Skills required / qualifications

• B. Comm / B. Sc. in a related field (Systems engineering, Accounting) and/or comparable work experience/certification.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience with SunSystems and companion product implementations.
• Hands-on experience with SunSystems6/Infor10 LA/FA/MC/CO, Q&A (Vision) and Professional Advantage products B4B/CBS/BRM
• Solid accounting / financial process background.
• Knowledge of reporting tools and concepts.
• Advanced understanding of relational databases and operating systems.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills.
• Willingness to travel when required.
• Excellent Excel (VBA) skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, and preferably one other modern European language.
