Position Title: Gift Shop Manager

Reports To: Interpretive Center Director

Work Schedule: Part-time Approx. 24-29 hours a week 
*Will be required to be flexible and work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications: Must be enthusiastic, team player, enjoy interacting with people, and committed to the goals of the organization. A college degree is preferred, with a strong retail background and experience with Windows-based point of sale systems, conducting deposits, merchandising, and managing inventory. Desired applicant will have strong oral and written communication skills. Interpretation experience and working with birds of prey is desirable, but not required. Must have knowledge of general computer operation, including programs such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.

Salary: Hourly, dependent on experience.

General Duties: Duties of gift shop manager includes maintaining inventory through ordering, pricing, stocking of merchandise as well as overseeing the efficient operation of the retail operation, including on-line store. Manager is responsible for all transactions done through point of sale system and will be required to conduct all deposits, balance the cash drawer, and generate reports as necessary. Employee also required to conduct interpretive programs for public. 
All positions at The Peregrine Fund include other duties or assignments as needed, to include helping co-workers when help is requested. Teamwork will be mandatory as it is essential to the goals and the successes of the organization. Employee will be required to work with live birds of prey on a daily basis.
