Our team of analysts has been working with a wide array of clients from various industries, from S&P-listed companies to education institutions and NGOs, and has helped shape the climate accounting and reporting practice into the professional field it has become through their involvement in standard-making.

Our Montreal office currently has a full time position available for an analyst who shares our passion.

We are looking for a senior or a junior analyst. Either way, we want someone with a sharp mind who is motivated to grow with us and stay for the long run.

You will be working in the Mile End, with a small bilingual team of very smart and friendly analysts and developers, delivering services and SaaS solutions to a wide array of clients in the USA, Canada, and the Americas.

You will also get to collaborate with our colleagues in Edinburgh, London and the USA.

Salary is commensurate with experience, and is bonified by benefits including health insurance and a very generous vacation allowance.

Tasks will include:

Delivery of organizational, product and events greenhouse gas assessment services, including GHG calculations, emissions estimation modelling, and quality assurance review of client data.
Liaising with our clients and partners, including consulting sustainability assessment scoping, answering technical and project management queries, helping clients report on their sustainability performance.
Conducting ad-hoc research on sustainability and climate change standards, emission sources, and other topics as needed.
Contributing to testing and providing recommendations on new features for our online tool for corporate sustainability reporting.
Updating our extensive database of emissions factors and statistical data.

The ideal candidate will:

Be a graduate in a field relevant to Ecometrica’s line of work, such as environmental sciences or statistics.
Have a demonstrated strong interest in environmental sciences, climate change or sustainable development matters.
Be extremely attentive to detail and rigorous.
Possess strong research and analytical skills.
Love numbers and be proficient with modelling/estimating data.
Be able to critically appraise the relevance and accuracy of data.
Be a fast-learner.
Have outstanding multi-tasking and time management skills.
Possess excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Have excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken).
Have a strong work ethic.
Have a confident, friendly and professional approach.

Experience with the main corporate GHG and sustainability reporting standards, working in a consultancy, and a strong command of French are additional assets.

Position status: Full time, permanent position.
