Germany: Auditor with a flair for sales and management   

Job title:          Coordinator and Chain of Custody auditor in Germany

Location:         Germany

Details:           Permanent full time staff

Job description:

The primary role will be to coordinate and conduct audits in Germany, mainly under the Sustainable Agriculture Network/Rainforest Alliance (SAN) and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification schemes. Responsibilities also include service provision under our LegalSource Programme for legal timber sourcing.  

We are looking for a person who is interested to take on a broader role in addition to the auditing responsibilities. This includes client communication, coordination of audits conducted by part time contractors, and taking initiative to market NEPCon services further.  The coordinator will act as the primary local contact for our clients in Germany.

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Coordinate certification activities
  • Conducting audits according to SAN, FSC and PEFC chain of custody standards
  • Providing services under our LegalSource Programme for legal timber sourcing
  • Management of client portfolio hereunder sales and marketing activities
  • Operational business planning and budgeting, reporting progress

Qualifications and experience:

  • Interest in environmental and sustainability auditing
  • Good communication skills
  • Good customer service skills and a professional, diplomatic and tactful approach
  • Very good coordination skills
  • Higher education in environmental field, such as ecology, environmental protection, environmental engineering, forestry or related subjects
  • Resilience and high work ethics
  • Preferably international work experience (also remote and virtual teamwork)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Personal interest in environmental issues and motivation to improve the global environmental conditions
  • Alignment with company core values, such as our mission, innovative thinking, accountability, team working spirit
  • Willingness to travel in Germany and in Europe
  • Strong level of computer literacy
  • Fluency in spoken and written German and English
