Geotechnical Engineer, Offshore, Paris

I am currently recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer to join a leading consultancy business based in Paris.  As a business they provide consultancy services to clients globally providing geotechnical analysis services for offshore and onshore projects.  Due to further expansion they now have an opportunity for an experience Geotechnical Engineer to join their team.

Position Overview:

As Geotecnical Engineer you will be responsible for providing Geotechnical analysis services to client in the oil & gas and renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Field logging and classification of soil and rock samples
• ·         Planning and executing field investigations
• ·         Assistance with construction quality assurance assignments, including soil density testing and construction monitoring;
• ·         Preparation of technical reports and design drawings
• ·         Liase with other engineering areas(hydrogeology, water resources,environmental engineering etc)

Education:-

• ·         Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related education or training, or Business Administration or equivalent job experience necessary

Core Requirements:-

• ·         Minimum MSc (Civil, Geotechnical or Geological Engineering)
• ·         Must have 5-15 year of experience with a proven track record in a offshore related field and a good undersatnding of soil mechanics
• ·         Experience in consulting environment would be very beneficial

General Requirements:-

• Ability to travel

• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organisation
• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
• ·         Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
