Our client is a leading, international advisory and design consultancy that has won many awards for its innovation. This exciting vacancy has recently arisen for an ambitious and capable individual to specialise in the assessment and remediation of contaminated land. The role will involve producing detailed desk studies and supervising subsequent ground investigations. Assessing and carrying out monitoring of ground conditions, you will produce risk assessments as well as compiling factual and interpretative reports. In addition, you will coach and develop graduate team members. A first degree in Geology or an Environmental Sciences related subject is required, along with a second degree in Environmental Geology/Hydrogeology. You will have worked in the environmental industry as a consultant or environmental regulator for a minimum of two years and it is expected that you will be working towards Chartered membership of an appropriate body. Experience in the production and interpretation of groundwater and human health risk assessments, as well as supervision of ground investigation including water sampling is essential. You will also have up to date knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and guidance. A full UK driving licence is required.
