Introduction

This is an excellent opportunity for a Geo-Environmental Consultant with experience with a site investigation contractor or consultancy to join a rapidly expanding geo-environmental consultancy.

The Job

The successful candidate is expected to have a first degree in Environmental Geology/Geotechnical Engineering or similar with relevant experience which should include extensive experience of environmental site investigation techniques and logging to BS5930, geotechnical interpretation and a working knowledge of current contaminated land requirements.

The role is highly varied, and the successful candidate will be actively involved in the day to day project management of Geo-environmental Phase 1 and Phase 2 site investigations across the UK and the preparation interpretative geotechnical and environmental reports. GEG also design, oversee and validate remediation works, and aspects of these works will also be undertaken by the appointed candidate. A good knowledge of standard computer programmes such a MS Office is essential and a basic knowledge of AutoCAD would be advantageous (although not essential).

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake site based fieldwork throughout the UK, therefore, a full driving licence is considered essential.
