Peak Associates Environmental Consultants provides a wide range of services, ranging from sewage treatment and drainage projects, to contaminated land and flood risk assessments.

Due to expanding workloads an opportunity has arisen within the Company for a Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our multi-functional team at our Warrington office.

We are keen to hear from individuals with at least 2-3 years experience within the environmental sector and have experience of site works, including soil, ground, and surface water sampling. Within this experience, the candidate would be expected to have developed project management skills, including budget control, and the ability to manage external contractors. The individual must also have the ability to identify and explore new areas of work and to prepare sound business proposals, making effective use of the company resources.

Given the multi-functional nature of the team it would be advantageous if the successful candidate has some knowledge or experience of sewage treatment and/or drainage projects.

We would expect the successful candidate to be proficient in writing technical reports, including the ability to accurately process geological data in order to produce exploratory hole logs and cross sections, and to make good technical decisions based on information gathered. In addition, knowledge and experience of using AutoCAD to produce quality plans, sections and engineering drawings, would be considered a distinct advantage.

Candidates should have a good first degree in a relevant subject, ideally geology, environmental science, civil engineering or geography. An MSc in a related field, for example, hydrogeology, contaminated land assessment, geotechnical engineering or water engineering, would be a distinct advantage. The successful candidate should be keen to develop their skills and should demonstrate a commitment to their own continued professional development (CPD).

Applicants must also hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.

Applications from candidates with less than 2 year's experience will be considered
