Description

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) is a Crown Entity that works to improve New Zealanders' energy choices in business, in the home and on the road.

How we use energy is of vital importance to increasing New Zealand's productivity, improving the welfare of New Zealanders, and meeting international climate change obligations. This senior management role will help influence New Zealand's economic and environmental future.

In this role you will work closely with EECA's Board and executive peers to confirm and deliver on EECA's strategy. An effective ‘persuasive strategic thinker' is required to lead:

  • Critical relationships with a range of government agencies and interact effectively at Ministerial level;
  • Strategic and business planning processes and production of accountability documents;
  • EECA's research, monitoring and evaluation functions.

You will also influence programme design activity, while exploring avenues to leverage gains by partnering with external parties.

Your senior management background will demonstrate leadership and vision, the proven ability to work collaboratively, influence decision makers, effectively manage mid-sized, multi-disciplinary teams and deliver results. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic organisation, working alongside like-minded, engaged, motivated people progressing goals that will benefit all New Zealanders.

This role is Wellington based and will report directly to the Chief Executive.
