Lead the team working to stop Genetically modified (GM) crops and chemical intensive agriculture threatening our environment, our health and our food supply. 12 month Term position.

When powerful multi-nationals threaten our food supply we need an empowered, motivated community saying no to being part of a genetic experiment.  What role do you want to play in this?  Are you passionate about bio-diversity, food sovereignty and environmental justice? You might be the person we’re looking for to help motivate the community to act and ensure a GE-free future.

This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in the cross-departmental team, developing and implementing creative, targeted campaign projects that make a real difference.  Put your solid campaign experience and team leader skills to good use and provide policy and strategic advice to the campaign and line manage one GE campaigner.  You will be drawing on your excellent communication and organisation skills, campaign experience (knowledge of food and/or agriculture issues are an advantage) and commitment to the ideals of Greenpeace.

Together with the ability to achieve environmental campaign objectives, the successful applicant will have proven knowledge of the Australian political and business environment and national and international government processes.  You will be using your extensive lobbying experience and strong strategic abilities to change government, public and business behaviour, build relationships on a grassroots level, and work collaboratively with other departments within Greenpeace to ensure that organisational goals are met.

As well as the opportunity to make a difference on crucial issues, Greenpeace offers employees a supportive work environment and a real commitment to life/work balance.  We also encourage staff to develop new skills, take on challenges and get involved in the wider organisation.

This is a full-time (35 hours per week) Sydney-based 12 month term position.  Applications close 1st March, and must address the selection criteria in the job description.
