Forum for the Future is looking for a motivated individual to join the Futures Centre team as an intern.
The intern would ideally work four days a week over a period of three months. They will be part of our international Futures team, working in our London office but with some tasks managed by team members in Singapore. The internship is unpaid, but travel (London zones 1-6) and lunch expenses (up to £5) will be covered.
Tasks include:
- Horizon scanning for signals of change
- Trend monitoring
- Editorial tasks: fact checking, writing, proofreading
- Image and illustration research
- Web content management
- Research for topics and articles
This is a great opportunity to gain experience working in a small, fast-paced team at the heart of an organisation driving for change. That’s why the person we have in mind will have:
- An interest in sustainable development and/or futures with an appetite to learn more
- A high level of literacy and an ability to write clearly
- An ability to carry out research with limited management
- A willingness to pitch in with a variety of tasks within a small team
Applications – which should include a CV, letter detailing how you meet the person specification, a completed equal opportunities form and two samples of previous writing – should be sent to Sophie Kennedy, HR Assistant. You can send it by email: recruitment@forumforthefuture.org or send a hard copy to 19-23 Ironmonger Row, London EC1V 3QN. Please note the equal opportunities form will be separated from your application and not form part of the short-listing process.
