Singapore
S$43985 – S$50467 plus standard benefits

Forum for the Future is looking to expand into South East Asia. We will be setting up a regional office in Singapore over the coming year, with a focus on establishing:

  • A research centre of excellence in sustainable futures
  • An active network of partner organisations with whom we work actively to drive forward the sustainable business agenda
  • Collaborative innovation projects in key sectors, which demonstrate practical sustainability solutions through multi-stakeholder coalitions.

Forum is a global leader in the use of trends, scenarios and visioning to help organisations map a route to a sustainable future. The Sustainable Futures Centre in Singapore will support our global operations through:

  • Project-specific research support
  • On-going horizon scanning for trends and weak signals of the future
  • Development of scenarios
  • Regular management of a digital futures trends interface
  • Co-ordination of a global network of futures ‘intelligence providers’, whose insights will feed into our work.

We are now seeking to recruit a Futures Advisor who will work as a core part of the team within the Centre.

Role Summary
Reporting to the Manager of the Sustainable Futures Centre in Forum’s Singapore office, the Futures Advisor will deliver high-quality futures research and analysis; help manage the horizon scanning systems and processes in the Centre to ensure Forum’s futures practice is cutting-edge; and support Forum’s global futures function in delivering impactful projects for leading international organizations as well as multi-stakeholder initiatives. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of the regional office by helping shape the direction of the SE Asia work programme, and developing new business. Travel both nationally and internationally will be required.

Applicants must be eligible to work in Singapore. This position will be contracted by our Singapore subsidiary.  As we are currently in the process of incorporating this entity there is a possibility that this position will be on a freelance consultancy basis until that incorporation is complete. At present we do not anticipate this being necessary but we do need to bring this possibility to applicants' attention.
