Description

This role sits within Groundwork London’s highly successful Fundraising and Development team and reports to the Head of Fundraising. Over the last 4 years we have been growing our fundraising team to secure income across both Groundwork London and Groundwork South. We are looking to appoint a Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Fundraising and department/programme leads, at the same time as supporting, nurturing and developing other members of the fundraising team.

At this particularly critical time of high need for Groundwork services, and with an increasingly competitive funding environment, the Fundraising Manager will orchestrate the successful planning and bidding for more, larger and cross-trust resources, predominantly from statutory and major grant sources. They will develop Groundwork’s relationship management with our key funders, and will help to explore and diversify our income sources to include areas such as major donors and crowdfunding/individual giving.

If you have a proven track record of writing successful high value (>£100K) bids and tenders; possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, are an exceptional multi-tasker, an excellent team player and – last but not least – keen to develop our fundraising team talent pool then we’d love to hear from you.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Substantial and proven experience in writing successful high value (>£100k) statutory contract tenders, and grants (e.g. from trusts, foundations, lottery distributors)
  • Experience in line managing and developing staff
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • An ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks
  • An ability to take the initiative in identifying and proactively developing new Fundraising & Development opportunities
  • A passion for fundraising and being part of a high-performing team
