Tele-Fundraising has been one of the most promising strategies of supporter enrollment for Greenpeace India as it integrates well with campaign and mobilization and has potential to grow further and inspire prospective supporters to join our work. The Tele-Fundraising Unit is the field based team that converts potential supporter leads as financial donors. The team works along with the tele-calling, new media and mobile teams from where they receives leads for conversion. The unit is also responsible for working with the mobilization team to generate leads for the new media and mobiles.
 
Purpose of the role
The Fundraising Manager – Lead Generation will be responsible to lead a team of 4 managers, and a unit of about 100 people to achieve the income targets for the unit thru conversion of leads into financial supporters.  He /she will also work with the field team to generate leads for the digital media and mobilization team.
 
What will you be doing? 

  • Support the line manager to develop tele-fundraising targets(conversion & lead generation) based on leads from different sources
  • Translate annual conversion targets into operational plans for the field team – allocation of targets to cities, staffing plans, efficiency targets for conversion etc.
  • Develop & operationalise plans to generate leads.
  • Ensure campaign moments and messages are communicated in the daily interactions with prospects
  • Work closely with the telecalling manager, digital media team to ensure maximum conversion of leads to sign-ups
  • Create necessary processes & protocols to ensure that the teams use our campaign projects to communicate to prospects
  • Budget management – develop and monitor budget for the unit as per plan & policy guidelines
  • Fulfil management responsibilities towards direct reporting staff.
  • As a member of the Fundraising Department, contribute to the development of FR plans for the organisation
  • Develop and improve the process including protocols to improve efficiency and coordination with other teams.
  • Provide input and feedback to Digital Media and Mobiles plans, to improve the quality and quantity of leads for calling.
  • Coordinating staff recruitment, including writing vacancy advertisements and liaising with HR staff
  • Ensure that adequate measures are being taken to motivate & retain staff – i.e. performance rewards, recognition, training etc.
  • Leverage campaign moments to generate leads from schools, outreach, events, prominent foot-fall locations etc

 
What you need for this position? 

  • Experience in the sales/marketing and working to targets
  • Experience in managing a field team of about 100 staff, who are primarily young
  • Experience in setting up process and protocols in a sales environment.
  • Understanding of social media and mobiles potential in lead generation work.
  • Excellent managerial skills
  • Excellent analysis and data management skills
  • Independently create and manage campaigns
  • Working under pressures to meet fundraising targets

Compensation:         Starting pay Rs. 6,31,547 per annum (cost to organization)
