Located in Bioversity’s Headquarters near Rome, under the general guidance and supervision of the Development Officer, Resource Mobilization Unit (RMU), the incumbent will support fundraising and grant management related activities within the RMU Unit. The job trainee will contribute to a series of major time-bound deliverables with the option to add small one-off items as they arise as well as participate in the day-to-day activities of the Unit. In particular, tasks will include: * Supporting in-depth research on private and public donors and producing donor profiles including establishing history of giving for donors and prospects of strategic interest directed and guided by RMU colleagues. * Help sourcing information to write, edit and lay out proposals and donor information. * Assist the RMU colleagues in preparing communications for donors. * Help promoting Bioversity field trips to donors, producing flyers and other information materials, keeping track of target donors and approaches made. * Assist the RMU team in the administrative activities related to the development and support of Bioversity International’s Development Board, and Fundraising Boards in the US and UK. * Assist in implementing online donation activity. * Organize the electronic RMU file sharing systems. * Archiving grant-related (hard copy) documentation. * Assisting in data entry/migration to fundraising software system, Raiser’s Edge. * General support for other administrative activities as required.
