Fundraising Assistant

The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) is the UK’s leading charity for protection of our seas, shores and wildlife. The voice for our seas for nearly 30 years, MCS champions protection for marine wildlife, sustainable fisheries and clean seas and beaches. 

Our campaigns and projects to protect our seas, shores and wildlife are achieving an ever higher profile and our Fundraising team has capitalised on opportunites to secure support from large trusts and foundations, well known corporates like M&S, Debenhams and Fat Face and individuals taking part in challenge events. We have ambitious plans to substantially grow our income over the next three years and as a result we’re looking for a highly motivated individual to play an active role in, and provide support for, our high achieving team and fundraising initiatives.

This is an ideal role for someone looking to get in to fundraising and whilst providing administrative support to team members is at the core of the role, the successful candidate will take on responsibility for specific donor communications and fundraising initiatives themselves with a particular focus on trusts and grants fundraising from the start. The successful candidate will be a self starter, used to working in a busy office environment and will need to take a proactive approach to managing a varied and busy workload.
