CAT Charity Job Description Fundraising and Development Support (statutory), Fundraising and Development Department. ·         32 hours per week (4 days equivalent). Flexible working required including some evening and weekend work. ·         £11,115 per annum, pro rata plus 2% pension option  ·         six month probationary period  
Responsible to: Statutory Fundraiser Responsible for: no line management responsibilities Liases with: all other departments Status:  Associate member of CAT’s co-operative management system Scope: As part of the Fundraising and Development department, to assist the team to raise funds and develop opportunities for CAT. Interlinked Departmental RolesRoles and responsibilities within F&D are interlinked. Please note that from time to time;

·       the roles are reviewed within the department and may be changed

·       it may be necessary to work outside your particular role as need dictates.

 F&D ResponsibilitiesTo take responsibility as requested for aspects of the department’s role of devising, developing and implementing strategies to raise funds and developmental opportunities for CAT through the following areas. 
  • Assisting with all fundraising aspects of CAT’s web site including creating promotional materials, dealing with responses and analysing results.
  • Assisting with all aspects of applications from statutory sources including researching opportunities, collecting information for applications, drafting answers for applications, collating relevant documents and communicating with relevant individuals in governmental organisations in order to secure offers of support.
  • Assisting with all aspects of applications from the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme and the Aggregates Levy Fund including researching opportunities, collecting information for applications, drafting answers for applications, collating relevant documents and communicating with relevant individuals in these organisations in order to secure offers of support.
  • Assisting with all aspects of entering competitions; including researching opportunities, collecting information for applications, drafting answers for applications, collating relevant documents and collecting prizes.
  • Behaving appropriately as a CAT representative.
  • Playing a full part in the administration of the department including handling money and adhering to policies.
  • Assisting with the organisation and hosting of fundraising events.
  • Undertaking research into fundraising or developmental opportunities.
  • Networking with relevant outside organisations.
  • Working with consultants.
  • Assisting with any new areas of fundraising that may develop.
 Co-operative Responsibilities
  • To attend staff and other meetings as required and assist other F&D colleagues in their cooperative management duties.
  • To undertake cooperative rota duties.
  • To comply with health and safety requirements.
  • To undertake any other duties as requested by the elected Management Group, Overview.
Essential·         Experience of fundraising particularly from statutory sources.·         Excellent communication skills in order to influence, persuade and motivate supporters in a diplomatic way.·         Good level of numeracy skills.·         Experienced team worker with good interpersonal skills.·         Computer literate including; databases, spreadsheets, word processing, internet and email.·         Good organisational and time management skills.·         An enthusiastic and positive disposition.·         An interest in and understanding of environmental issues.·         A lateral thinker who can maximise opportunities across a diverse organisation.·         Ability to be able to present complex information in a logical and understandable manner.Desirable
  • Experience of legacy work.

  • Knowledge of Welsh language.
